Click to change directions and avoid the asteroids. Collect the embers to score. This is the first game made to launch the site and it is the simplest to play. Asteroids are coming from different directions and you need to choose to keep going and dodge the rock or turn around to play your luck in that direction. You are doomed to crash but keep trying anyway. A fun and casual game to kill 2 minutes.
How to play
This is an intuitive game that does not need an instruction manual. Click mouse or Space key on PC, just tap the screen anywhere on mobile. Your craft will constantly be orbiting the planet and it speeds up the longer you survive, but the incoming asteroids won't stop coming. It is hard to know when to turn around or when to keep going. Collect as many embers and compete with yourself to get the high score. This game rewards reaction time and precise movement decisions. You have 1 life only and hitting any rock ends the game. Replay as many times as you like.
Behind the game
Before changing up the art it looked very bland and boring. I wanted something to shine and be easy on the eyes. This game started it all. I had to come to a conclusion on what the color theme would be for future games. I settled on a combination of espresso, coral, amber and cream, which all games are built on. Since then I have broken the rule for games that needed their own art. However, you will see this style in other aspects of every game such as the menu and the play cards.
Hints
Timing, patience and focus are the fundamentals of this game. I like to eyeball the closest rock that is going in the same path and guess if I can make it past or need to turn around. This is sometimes easy and sometimes hard. I have not found any real rhythm but instead the rocks come at random. There can be unlucky runs in which there is no way to survive. This is a game of both luck and skill to see how far you can get. I like to place survival over greed when shooting for the embers.
