Dig through the rock and keep going until you reach the end at 100m. Your blocks are chunks of ore that break apart and fill in the holes beneath them. You don't need to worry about rigid block shapes just filling in the bottom. The bottom rises and produces obstacles to slow you down. The only way to lose is by stacking blocks too high. The only way to win is to reach 100m. The game does have an end and there is only 1 level.
You are dropping blocks of ore into a mine shaft trying to clear the rock below you. 1 line cleared is equal to 1m. There are obstacles in the way to slow you down. For a granite block you need to clear it two times to break. A hardpan row needs to clear two times and you lose the remaining blocks, they do not pour down. Water interrupts the line from being cleared as normal. A wet pocket breaks into water cells that produce water. Clearing a gem block just gives you +25 points. The most difficult parts of the game are in the beginning and the end. At the start there is more rock and more obstacles to delay the dig. Near the end of the game the blockers are significantly increased to try and prevent you from finishing. The game is winnable at 100m.
The original release of this game was called Block Drop and used static shapes. The look and the mechanics were too boring and easy so I decided to switch it up. The blocks could now fall through the cracks. Along with the added hindrance pieces, it makes this a different game with a different feel. I changed around the graphics and added the difficult ending to make it Deep Dig.
There is a drop button to speed things up in the beginning. Space on keyboard, Drop button on mobile. Rushing gets you towards the end faster but it can also make you quickly lose. The shaft seems to raise up out of nowhere and the game can end. The best tip is to fill in slots in a way that will not make the top piece gain so many extra blocks that you can't move. Clear the blocks and don't worry too much about water it will dry up quickly. The challenge is in the very last four meters.
